A young, stunning beauty from Argentina, Maya, has two good reasons to come to Italy. First, her marvellous voice grants her a chance to win the selections for an important singing competition. Second, she wants to find out who her real father is, since the man she has lived with for all of her life has just told her that she isn't his daughter. Maya leaves Argentina full of dreams and hope but, once in Italy, she is confronted by a reality very different from the one she has imagined. A "kind fairy" - an old friend of her mother - will help her to deal both with her terrible step sisters and with her "Prince Charming". Leo is indeed the contemporary equivalent of the Prince, but Maya will soon find that their romance is made impossible by a terrible secret, something she really can't share with him. In the end Maya will manage to recover her family and succeed in her career as a singer. But she will need more than her stamina, looks, spirit and ability to find out the truth and allow Leo to conquer her heart.
Maya, una giovane e bellissima ragazza argentina arriva in Italia con un duplice scopo: partecipare alle selezioni per cantare in un musical teatrale e cercare il suo vero padre, dal momento che l’uomo che l’ha cresciuta le svela il segreto di non essere il suo padre biologico.
In Italia dovrà vedersela con una realtà diversa da quella che aveva immaginato; aiutata da una fata gentile -che è una vecchia amica della madre- a confrontarsi sia con le sorellastre cattive sia con il principe azzurro al quale non può rivelare tutta la verità perché un dubbio atroce la tormenta…
Come in ogni favola che si rispetti, seppur moderna, Maya supererà le mille avversità recuperando la sua famiglia e trionfando con il suo canto sublime.
